OpportunitiesWe will be targeting visitors of all ages with our extensive advertising program. We will be actively recruiting mature aged workers to this event, and in particular, those unemployed, displaced workers who have recently graduated from training programs with the assistance of the Second Career Program through Employment Ontario.
With changes to local employment dynamics and a critical shortage of people in the skilled trades, the job scene and opportunities are continually changing, 2010 Second Career Expo will provide an opportunity for community members, local and regional employers and agencies to interact and to share ideas and strategies. With a wide variety of exhibitors and a large and centrally located venue we anticipate over 600 visitors to 2010Second Career Expo.
Visitor evaluations demonstrated that visitors have a variety of reasons for attending similar events, much more than simply ‘looking for a job’. Many of the visitors will be looking for information on jobs and careers as well as training information corresponding to those positions. Others yet, will be there to meet contacts for future employment; and some will merely be there to see what organizations are participating in this well-known community event.
2010 Second Career Expo will be a great opportunity for face-to-face contact for both visitors and exhibitors. It provides an opportunity for community members, local and regional employers and agencies to interact. This one-day event allows visitors to meet with and ask questions of over 70 businesses and organizations that they may not otherwise have access to.
EVERYONE in our community has a reason to visit Second Career Expo 2010!
